Which areas do you work in?
If we are running your build on a day to day basis we mainly work in Sevenoaks, Tonbridge, Tunbridge Wells and surrounding villages. However, we will consider building projects outside of these areas.
As consultants we work in Kent, East Sussex, West Sussex and Surrey but will consider projects in other areas. We have previously worked on projects in the Channel Islands and Mainland Europe. If your project is further afield, please get in touch and we will be happy to have a chat and see if we can help you
We have our plans but just want a building service, can you offer this service?
Yes, we can. We have a great team and can offer competitive packages.
How much do you charge?
We pride ourselves on clear pricing structures and feel that we represent excellent value for money. Design, consultancy and feasibility work are priced according to the complexity of the task. All our fees are clearly set out and any extra work is always pre-agreed. If you would like to get in touch and tell us a bit more about your requirements, we would be happy to propose a no obligation fee.
Building work is either estimated as a traditional tender or we can agree to work for a set percentage of the building cost. The percentage is worked out on a sliding scale depending on the size and scope of your project (this method gives clients complete clarity and is totally transparent).
Site administration/project management is either charged as a flat fee paid weekly or as a percentage of the project cost. This is open for discussion.
One-off appointments are charged at an agreed flat fee.
How early should I start planning my building project?
Great design is the result of early planning. Integrating services into working drawings will not only provide clarity but also be a basis for more accurate tendering. The earlier we can be involved in the design process the better. Preparation is key when undertaking a building project.
I am self-building but need help preparing my project, can you help?
In a word “yes”. Grey areas are the enemy of the building project and can leave you exposed to unexpected costs, confrontation and disappointment. Specifying and detailing your building project early on really can pay dividends and save you time, money and possibly your stress levels!
My build has turned into a bit of a monster, can you help?
If this is your reality, we can certainly discuss your situation and see if we can help you get back on track. Building projects can take over your life and become overwhelming, whether it’s the budget, personnel or design issues please get in touch as we may be able to help.
I have started my building project, but it seems to be heading off piste and I’ve lost my enthusiasm, can you help?
This really is a common situation. Homeowners start off full of great ideas and gusto and somewhere along the line the vision gets well and truly lost. There is also often a point where you will accept anything just to get finished, a compromise too far. A fresh pair of eyes and some reorganization is often all it takes to reignite the spark and get the project back on track.
If I use your services, who will I get from your company?
Tony is strong on tech, renewables and general building and has over 30 years of unbroken site experience. He is known to be a hands-on problem solver and is excellent at resolving issues associated with older and quirky buildings.
Polly has a proven track record as an Interior Architect, Interior Designer, Lighting Designer and Project Manager and has been working both in the local area and further afield since 1996. She also has a knack for resurrecting distressed projects. We will allocate the person with the most appropriate skill set for the given situation, or if we feel it is appropriate we can work as a pair.
Can you provide genuine references?
We have been working in the local area for many years now and have always taken the long-term view, as such have built up long and lasting relationships with our clients and contractors. Most of our clients come as referrals or are repeat clients, we would be happy to provide you with references.
